What to do to barnacle growth on tubes.... Generally speaking, most inflatable boats don't live in the water full time. However, we occasionally leave them in the water long enough to have some growth. Scraping the tubes IS NOT an option. You run a high risk of cutting the tubes with the barnacle you are trying to remove if you do. The best way to remove barnacle bases is with acid. Mary-Kate On-and-Off will do the trick. You can even start with a much less aggressive acid such as rust remover first. The acid will not hurt the tubes. But, it will eat away the barnacles. Just be sure to protect the area you are working around to not damage your yacht or garage.
